POSITION SUMMARY: The Landlord Liaison is responsible for leading community-wide efforts to effectively market Missoula rental support programs to new and existing landlords and property managers with the goal of expanding the number of homes available to households with barriers impeding access to finding a home they can afford. The Liaison will identify homes in the rental market throughout Missoula, develop partnerships with landlords to overcome barriers that prevent participant households from obtaining homes, and work closely with Housing Navigator (Partnership Health Care) and Housing Retention Specialist (Poverello Center) and Coordinated Housing Team to ensure participants can access and sustain homes.

EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Possess a Bachelor's degree (graduate degree preferred) with 1 year experience in realty, property management, or sales and 1 year experience working with homeless persons, or have had 3 years’ experience working in realty, property, management, or sales with at least one of those years working with homeless or vulnerable populations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The right individual for this position has a passion for helping others and a desire to work in an organization that serves people who are experiencing poverty and homelessness. Demonstrated ability to interact with other agencies in developing and providing services to participants; including ability to advocate and provide mediation on behalf of participants for services with other agencies. Demonstrated knowledge of fair housing laws and practices and landlord-tenant law. Computer literacy. Demonstrated ability to use word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, and Internet programs. Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive participant files and reports. Current Driver’s License. Experience with conflict resolution.
