ASSET-BUILDING VISION

Since 1997, staff of homeWORD’s Homeownership Center have been empowering individuals and families to move toward economic empowerment. Beginning with offering homebuyer education, our services have expanded over the years to incorporate a more holistic approach by offering financial fitness education, housing counseling and foreclosure prevention counseling in addition to homebuyer education. We build strong relationships with the clients we serve, through engendering trust, providing individualized support, and demonstrating a long term commitment as clients work toward their financial goals and homeownership.

Through homeWORD’s walk-in Homeownership Center located in downtown Missoula, staff provide comprehensive services offering direction and resources to low and moderate income individuals and families looking to manage their finances and purchase and retain their first home. To offer the array of quality education and services we do, we collaborate with a diverse network of non-profit organizations, local government agencies, financial institutions, real estate agencies and social service agencies.

As a result of our commitment to participants, our history and our collaboration with others, homeWORD offers the local community a well established and popular center for resources and education. Whether the goal is buying a home, developing a spending plan or setting savings goals for further education, services offered through homeWORD’s Homeownership Center provide individuals and families with a place to start, a place to learn and a place where they know they can return to continue furthering their goals.
