HOUSING COUNSELING SERVICE
Since 1998, WORD has helped over 175 families to avoid foreclosure, through homeWORD's Homeownership Center.

In partnership with homeWORD, WORD is a certified Counseling Agency and provides a comprehensive range of services including one-on-one housing search counseling and in-depth, day-by-day counseling to families who are at risk of losing their homes to foreclosure. Financial literacy education, explanation of foreclosure prevention options, direct advocacy and negotiation with lenders on behalf of clients, predatory lending assistance, and referrals to other applicable resources and social services are all part of the services included.
