CLASS SCHEDULE
Must be pre-registered to attend
There
is
a
$10
registration
fee
to
cover the cost of materials. You can mail this in, Attention to Rebecca
Powers,
prior
to attending the class or it will be collected on the first class
day.
This 5 week course gives
adults the opportunity to learn how to effectively manage their
personal finances
in an open
environment that encourages participants to share their personal
experiences. Each class
is devoted to a unique skill set necessary for building assets and
achieving overall financial
stability. The
course takes participants through the complete steps of becoming “financially
fit,” including:
- Getting organized
- Creating a budget that works
- Saving for future goals
- Understanding how to manage credit
- Repairing damaged credit
- Avoiding financial pitfalls and consumer
traps
- Using investments to plan for retirement
- Understanding taxes and
insurance
Course topics are presented by a variety of financial
professionals from the Missoula community. Refreshments and free
childcare are also provided. Participants who attend all five classes
receive a free credit report consultation with Consumer Credit
Counseling Services.
