FINANCIAL FITNESS
homeWORD offers a Financial Fitness class as a powerful tool in helping individuals gain control over their finances and ultimately,their life.

This class provides adults the opportunity to learn how to effectively manage and understand their finances in order to encourage sustainable financial behavior and empower themselves, their family and community. Each class is devoted to a unique skill set necessary for building assets and achieving overall financial stability. The course takes participants through the complete steps of becoming “financially fit,” including:

  • Getting organized
  • Creating a budget that works
  • Saving for future goals
  • Understanding how to manage credit
  • Repairing damaged credit
  • Avoiding financial pitfalls and consumer traps
  • Understanding taxes and insurance

Course topics are presented by a variety of financial professionals from the Missoula community. Refreshments and free childcare are also provided. One-on-one financial counseling is available upon request.

MISSOULA FINANCIAL FITNESS CLASS SCHEDULE

Online registration opens approximately one month prior to the beginning date of class. Registration forms are available either online or through the mail.
Class will be held in homeWORD's HomeOwnership Center at 127 N. Higgins Ave, Ste 303 (downtown Missoula).
There is a $10 per person, non-refundable, registration fee to cover the cost of materials. A $25 returned check fee, payable to homeWORD, will be charged for all returned checks, in addition to any bank fees.

To qualify for a childcare voucher, you must have your class registration fee paid. Vouchers will be honored only for the date and time of the class plus 15 minutes on either end. Any other costs incurred will be the sole responsibility of the parents.. Vouchers canl be emailed or mailed to class participant once proof of payment/fee waiver is determined, or pick up your voucher from Holly at homeWORD, 127 N Higgins Ave, Suite 307, third floor prior to day of class.
Please be sure to allow plenty of time to drop off and settle your child at daycare. homeWORD's classes begin promptly at 6pm.

March 16, 18, 23, and 25th

April 13, 15, 20 and 22 - Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6pm - 8:30 pm.
This class is closed for registration.

May 22 - Saturday, from 9 am until 6 pm.
This class is closed for registration.

June 21, 22, and 23rd - Monday through Wednesday, from 6 pm until 9 pm.
This class is closed for registration.

July 20, 21, and 22nd - Tuesday through Thursday, from 6 pm until 9 pm.

August 10, 11 and 12th - Tuesday through Thursday, from 6 pm until 9 pm.
This class has been CANCELLED! Please sign up for our all day Saturday class on September 18th, or call Brendan at 532-4663 x14 for one-on-one financial counseling!

September 18th - All day Saturday, from 9 am until 6 pm.
This class is now closed for registration!

October 19, 21and 26. 2-Tuesdays and 1-Thursday. Classes will be held at 127 N. Higgins, 3rd Floor, Suite 303 from 6 - 9 pm. Childcare vouchers are available for Busy Hands Fun Center.
