Homeword will be honored as the Nonprofit of the Year when the Sustainable Business Council presents its 7th Annual Sustainability Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, October 26, from 5:30-7pm at the Loft of Missoula (119 W Main St). We are so pleased to receive this award and wish to extend our congratulations to the other winners:

Since 2002, SBC has provided education and technical assistance to help businesses, organizations, and individuals in Montana adopt sustainable practices that protect and enhance the environment, the region’s economy, and our local communities. SBC continues to support Homeword's mission of providing safe, healthy affordable housing using sustainable methods and promoting strong communities through housing counseling and education for those most in need. Our membership in this organization has inspired us to elevate sustainability to the top of our priority list and ensure that it plays a key role in shaping our core values moving forward. In fact, during our recent rebranding process, we made a concerted effort to incorporate sustainability into our new tagline - Sustainable Communities for All.
