WOMEN'S OPPORTUNITY &
RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT, INC.

WORD is a feminist organization committed to the empowerment of women through education, direct services, community outreach, the changing of public policy, and the development of affordable housing.

homeWORD began as a project of WORD in 1995 and in 1998, became its own 501(c)(3) corporation. Sharing in mission and values, the two organizations remain intertwined, sharing office space.
