Homeword is closed to the public and employees are working remotely until further notice. Classes and personal counseling sessions are taking place virtually. Visit our Financial Resilience Resources page for tips to stay resilient during this time. Wishing you health during this time.
Are you rent wise? Our free Rent Wise workshop will teach you the keys to successful renting, including:
- How your credit score impacts renting
- How to improve your credit score for renting
- Common reasons for rental rejections and how to move past them
- Savings goals for overcoming renting barriers
Rent Wise workshops are taught by a certified financial counselor and other professionals in the community who volunteer their time by providing expert instruction on a range of topics. The class material has been developed based on national curricula from NeighborWorks America and national best practices for rental education models.
These two hour workshops are free and open to the public. Some are hosted at Homeword and others are hosted offsite by our community partners. Check the Calendar for upcoming classes. See the Agenda and Key Topics for more class information. Please RSVP with Homeword or the offsite host.
Homeword is firmly committed to providing access, equal opportunity, and reasonable accommodation. Please call (406) 532-4663 to request accommodation or to obtain materials in an alternate format, or dial 711 (TTY).
